Responsibilities
• Planning, Coordinating and Implementing human resource and administration policies, strategies, systems and processes aligned to organizational objectives;

Qualifications

For appointment to this position, one must have the following:-
• Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources or related subject from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with specialization in human resource from a university recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage;
• A higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or CPS (K).

Experience
• Minimum five (5) years relevant experience, three of which must be at a senior management level.

Other Requirements
• Be a member of a Professional body;
• Demonstrate outstanding professional competence in Human Resource Management issues;
• High Integrity, result oriented, passes strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;

Job Summary

Essential Job Functions

General administrative duties

• Assist with new hires process; including advertising for new positions, reviewing applicant resumes/CVs, short listings candidates, conducting interviews, reference checking, and on boarding of new staff members
• Ensure the necessary documents for new employees (e.g., work permits, tax IDs, bank accounts, etc.) are obtained and maintained and that HR policies are applied consistently across new hires
• Create and maintain official staff “Personnel Files”
• Make arrangements with local health insurance companies and benefits providers for staff and act as focal point with those vendors as well as keep all records of correspondence and personnel records pertaining to those insurances;
• Act as liaison for staff performance evaluation program; assist staff with all matters pertaining to this evaluation
• Keep staff updated with latest policies and act as focal point for any questions/concerns any staff may have with regards to HR matters
• Manage staff payroll and staff leave requests
• Develop internal organizational charts
• Perform other HR duties, as assigned.

• A diploma or university degree preferably in Education, Entrepreneurship or Business Management with a strong bias in financial and entrepreneurship support.
• At least 2 years experience in training micro and small business owners.
• Should have extensive experience in group lending methodologies.
• Should have strong understanding of provision of financial services to micro and small enterprises.

• Conduct and Manage the delivery of trainings in the branch as shall be assigned by the Master Trainers
• Conduct training need assessment and submit reports to the Master Trainers

• Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with Master Trainers.

• Develop a database of international sector performance standards and disseminate for use in organizational assessments

Manager KIM-Annual Business Awards (KABA) IOPI

Job Summary

KABA is an annual exercise that seeks to identify and publicly recognize SMEs that demonstrate excellence and integrity in their management and leadership practices.

The SMEs will be assessed using the Organizational Performance Index (OPI) excellence tool.

Reporting to the Chief Manager, Centre for Enterprise Development, the Manager, KABA/OPI SMEs will be responsible for the implementation of the Award Program specifically for nurturing and growing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Key Responsibilities
• Recruit enterprises and institutions for assessment and recognition and ensure that through the OPI assessment process the participants gain value
• Establish linkages with apex bodies to KABA/OPI through their membership base
• Seek sponsorship from organizations such as donor agencies, commercial banks, MFIs and the private sector to facilitate smooth running of the program
