ADRA Somalia Finance Director Job

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Somalia is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya and operating in Somalia.

ADRA’s mission is to change one life at a time through enhancing development in individuals and communities. ADRA Somalia desires to hire a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Finance Director.

Location: Nairobi with frequent visits to the Somalia.

Responsibilities:
• Administration of the Agency’s project and administration bank accounts.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting records and books are closed as soon as feasible.
• Keeping accounting records current and auditable.
• Responsible for reviewing the financial aspects of project proposals before submission to prospective donors.
• Preparation and monitoring administration budget and cash flow planning for both administration and projects.
• Responsible for authorizing transactions as approved by the board and ADCOM.
• Responsible for monitoring Finance and Administrative Staff in the Nairobi/Field offices.

Qualifications/Experience
• MBA with a bias in accounting or finance.
• Holder of CPA (K) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in Senior Accounting or treasury position.
• Knowledge Sun plus will be an added advantage.
• Previous leadership position in an NGO preferred.
• Experience with USAID and EC regulations strongly preferred.
• Be proficient in computerized accounting systems and strong spreadsheet skills.
• Proficient in English
