The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Somalia is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya and operating in Somalia.
ADRA is seeking services of experienced consultants to carry out Training of Hygiene Nutrition Community Trainers (HNCTS).
Purpose of the Consultancy:
• To train and capacitate members of the farmers groups especially women to enable them educate the rest of the community on aspects of nutrition.
Consultant’s Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Training on what nutrition is and what it means to have nutritious meals.
• Define the messages that the HNCTS will pass to their communities.
• Give practical lessons on identification of malnutrition for the different age sets.
• Train HNCTS on various ways of information dissemination.
• Recommend how the trainees can carry out the malnutrition surveys.
Qualifications and Expertise of the Consultants:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Nutrition, Home economics
• Technically competent in handling nutrition, cookery and malnutrition issues.The consultant need to be a good and proven trainer with excellent training skills and methodologies suitable for adult learning.
• Ability to train well in a team and train adults with low education levels
• Immediate availability to undertake the assignment.
