Royal Canadian Mint Monnaie Royale Canadienne The Royal Canadian Mint, an ISO 9001-2008 certified company, is the Crown Corporation responsible for the minting and distribution of Canada’s circulation coins. We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

ACCOUNTING MANAGER
(Management Position): Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, the incumbent will manage general and cost accounting functions for the Winnipeg plant.
This will include financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, account reconciliation, quoting, and preparing quantitative analysis as required.
The successful candidate will prepare journal vouchers as required, will analyze Balance Sheets and Statement of Operations accounts and ensure accuracy of all sub-systems to the general ledger.
The candidate will be preparing quantitative and analytical reports on plant operations using the appropriate reporting tools.
There will also be special projects assigned as needed.
The candidate will participate in stocktaking exercises, budget preparation, year-end audits, and will also be responsible for statutory reporting.
The candidate must gain a full understanding of the ERP system.
The qualifications for this position include a designation in either the CMA or CGA program and 5 – 8 years of general and cost accounting supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Interested candidates should have working knowledge of commercial software packages such as Microsoft Office. The selected candidate will be detail oriented, able to multi-task in a time sensitive environment and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to lead projects to completion.
