JTI-Macdonald Corp., a major manufacturer of tobacco products, requires an ambitious and energetic team player to fill the role of an IT Technical Associate. The position is based in Montreal, Quebec and reports to the Local IT Technical Manager.
IT Technical Associate
Qualifications:
• Computer related degree/diploma
• 3 – 5 years experience in technical support
• Proven knowledge of: IT Infrastructure, Windows 2003, Windows Active
• Directory, software deployment technologies (SMS/SCCM) and MS Office 2003 Software, Windows XP / Windows 7
• Sound understanding of personal computer hardware and peripherals,
and strong knowledge of LAN and WAN concepts
• VOIP and mobile voice/data knowledge is beneficial
• Proven practical experience supporting IT systems and customers
• Experience working with service management applications (Service Now) is a plus
• Ability to learn fast, strong analytical skills in problem-solving, good time
management skills; project management skills, an asset
• Excellent French and English, verbal/written, and communication skills
• Ability to interact and communicate in a multicultural environment
• Capable of working effectively in a team environment
• Proactive, can-do attitude, reliability, and a customer oriented service attitude
