Position: University Registrar

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the position of University Registrar.

Applicant should:
• Be at least a Masters Degree holder in Business Administration or Education from a recognized institution
• Have over 5 years experience of administration at Senior Management level in a University
• Have strong leadership and management skills
• Have sound understanding of institutional development and management in a Private University setting
• Be a committed Christian of good standing
• Possess thorough understanding of Administration procedures
• Be able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Be a good planner, energetic and result driven
• Be conversant with relevant aspects of Information Technology and its development and implementation of University Curricula as per the CHE regulations
• Have strong interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will serve n both Administration and Academic divisions

Position: Senior Assistant Registrar

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the position of Senior Assistant Registrar

Applicants should:
• Have a Masters Degree in either Public Administration, Planning or other Management area from a recognized University or a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with more than 5 years experience as an Assistant Registrar in a fast growing University
• Be conversant with modern management techniques and relevant aspects of Information Technology
• Have over 3 years experience as an Assistant Registrar in a University setting
• Have strong inter-personal skills
• Be motivated, energetic and result-driven
• Be a person who can work under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Be a committed Christian of good standing
The successful candidate will serve in both Administration, Personnel and Academic Divisions.

Position: Research Professor and Head Research and Development Bureau

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the job of Research Professor and Head of the Research and development bureau at PUEA.

Applicants should have:
• A Ph. D degree or its academic equivalent (LLD, D.Ph.L etc) and be either an Associate Professor or a full Professor;
• At least 10 years experience in teaching and research in the University or a research institution since being appointed Lecturer/Research Fellow;
• Developed at least 5 major research and/or development projects and successfully got them funded to the tune of over 100 Million shillings overall;
• Successfully developed one major university or research institution infrastructure project worth over Kshs.200MiIlion shillings and got it funded by sources outside his or her own institution, and the public sector;
• Developed at least one effective community project using modern technology to improve the quality of life of the community involved;
• Successfully supervised both PhD and Masters candidates and show evidence of effective undergraduate level teaching and mentoring;
• Contributed to learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
• Evidence of academic research and development as well as leadership in research in his/her area of specialization.
In addition to the above, the applicant should provide evidence of continuing research work, published in peer refereed journals and also of the ability to turn research ideas into marketable products.

Position: Finance Manager

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the position of Finance Manager

Applicant should:
• Be a holder of an accounting degree from a recognized University
• Be a CPA(K). (An MBA degree will be an added advantage)
• Have at least 10 years experience in Financial Management and Administration, of which 5 years must be at senior level in a University
• Be computer literate and familiar with accounting packages and computerized financial management systems
• Be a team player
• Be able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Be a Christian of good standing
Position: Open and Distance Learning Coordinator

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the position of Open and Distance Learning Co-ordinator

Applicant should:
• Have an MA ¡n Distance Education from a recognized University. (A PhD in the same field would be an added advantage.)
• Have worked in Open and Distance Learning for more than 3 years in a University
• Be able to co-ordinate and conduct faculty training in Distance Teaching
• Be able to oversee the design and development of Distance Learning Instructional materials
• Be a person who can efficiently co-ordinate Distance Learners’ requirements on schedule and cost effectively
• Be proficient in E-Iearning system
• Be able to establish an effective Distance Learner support system that will facilitate growth, motivation and retention of learners to successful completion of their studies
