Instructor – Insulator (Heat and Frost) – Term Position
Competition No.: 2010-123
Salary: $49,874 to $74,083 per annum*
*The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,650 or $5,300 per annum respectively.


Duties: Red River College requires an instructor to teach the practical and theoretical aspects of insulation (heat and frost) to Insulator apprentices. The Program will include: trade safety, technical drawings, tools and equipment, insulation materials, thermal applications, insulating plumbing and water systems, fireproofing, mathematics and computer applications.

Qualification Requirements:
. a valid Inter-Provincial Journeyperson’s Certificate in the Insulator (heat and frost) trade or equivalent;
. significant current commercial and industrial experience beyond that required for Inter-Provincial certification;
. minimum of Grade XII;
. good interpersonal, and communication skills.
. Teaching experience, curriculum development, knowledge of computers and contacts with industry would be assets.
