A leading construction company in the region is seeking to recruit for the position of Project Accountant / Quantity Surveyor.
The successful job holder will primarily be based in Nairobi, with frequent travel within the region depending on job requirements.
The purpose of this job is, among other things, to effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards, Preparation of cost estimates, Taking out quantities, Preparation of bills of quantities, Re-measurements of building work on site, Preparation of interim valuations, Assessment of variations, Analysing contractors` claims, Planning of construction projects, Monitoring and control of costs, Monitoring and control of costs, Guaranteeing optimum price to clients,
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:-
• Determination of costs of proposed projects
• Procurement of works to realize projects
• Contract administration and management
• Cost management
• Value engineering
• Cash flow management
Reporting to the Senior projects Manager, the candidate will have the overall responsibility of promoting and developing effective service to clients.
The successful job holder will hold a degree in building / civil construction and a minimum of 6 years work experience in a busy construction company or QS firm with a successful record and
references of the same.
