Monarch Insurance General Manager and Claims Manager Jobs

We are looking for ambitious, self-driven candidates to fill the positions of:

1. General Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the growth and development of the Company and will be charged with the following accountabilities:
• Develop and recommend for approval Business
• Development proposals, plans, budgets, guidelines and ensure effective and efficient implementation of the agreed decisions
• Set up the business cycle and ensure operations are executed in accordance with the approved policies and procedures
• Establish and implement internal monitoring and control systems, processes and procedures of the Company
• Plan, coordinate and control daily operations of the Company
• Review operations results of the Company against established objectives and targets and take remedial action on unsatisfactory results

Experience and Qualifications
• A B.Com Degree or a related Business Administration degree
• ACII qualifications
• An MBA will be an added advantage
• Have eight (8) years experience in the insurance sector, four of which should be at management level
• Track record of business development in the insurance sector dealing with General and Life insurance business
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Proven experience in establishing and motivating an efficient team
• Self driven individual with impeccable integrity

2. Claims Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Claims Manager will be responsible for Claims management of the Company and will be charged with the following accountabilities:
• Ensure that systems and procedures covering claims operations are adhered to
• Work closely with the Underwriting Department to ensure that policy terms and conditions are adhered to
• Handle recovery of claims
• Ensure the highest level of quality customer service in the claims process

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree with an Insurance Option/L.L.B Degree
• ACII Qualification essential
• Excellent knowledge of claims management of General and Life insurance business
• 5 years relevant experience in a busy Insurance Claims Department
• Proficient in the use of ICT
• Good interpersonal and public relation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
