Associate Director-Community Health
Location: Nakuru

To assist the APHIAplus Project Director in coordinating and managing the implementation of the program’s Community Health’s strategy and to ensure the individual strategic and local implementing partner activities cohere in a well-coordinated and unified strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership in the development of APHIAplus Zone 3 program community health unit strategy and implementation framework, including periodic review and revision.
• Assist in the design of subproject activities (including the preparation of budgets, implementation schedules, and evaluation criteria) and assists in the identification of implementing partners, appropriate consultants and staff to provide technical and management assistance for the community health unit for APHIA plus Zone 3.
• Lead person in monitoring sub-recipient’s technical implementation of the community health strategy.
• Provide leadership in interpreting the community health unit’s strategy and work plan to implementing partners and ensuring that activities cohere to this plan.
• Represent APHIAplus Zone 3 at national and international forums.
• Identify technical assistance needs in the area of community health of APHIAplus Zone 3 project and liaise with the Project Director to ensure the technical assistance is provided in a timely manner.
• Review monthly, quarterly and half yearly activity reports for community health unit for APHIAplus Zone 3 project.
• Provide support supervision to the senior technical team in the community health unit.
Minimum Requirements:
• MBA/MA/MS/MPH or a related advanced degree with 7-9 years relevant experience or BA/BS with 9-11years relevant experience.
• Must have experience in managing budgets, project planning, monitoring and evaluation
• Knowledge of public health situation and programs in Kenya as well as knowledge of FP/RH, Maternal and Child Health, or Infectious Diseases.
• Working knowledge of Kiswahili is crucial.
Associate Director-Health Communications

Senior Technical Officer-Reproductive Health
Location: Nakuru

The Senior Technical Officer RH/FP has the overall responsibility for providing programmatic and technical leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the stipulated family planning, reproductive health, neonatal and maternal child health (FP/RH/MCH) service delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development and review of guidelines and training materials in FP/RH/MCH.
• Conduct training of programmatic and technical staff of key partners in FP/RH/MCH.
• Participate in the tracking, monitoring and documentation of technical achievement and evaluation of FP/RH/MCH including neonatal health activities in regard to access, quality and service delivery impact in collaboration with partners.
• Maintain smooth flow of information with, ministry officials and other FHI technical staff on FP/RH/MCH issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with collaborating partners and donors to ensure effective coordination of FP/RH/MCH implementation.
Minimum Requirements:
• MS/MA preferably in ob/gyn or equivalent degree in related field with 5-7 years relevant experience or BS/BA in relevant field with 7-9 years of relevant experience.
• Specialized training in neonatal health.
