Action Against Hunger (ACF)-USA is part of the ACF-International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
ACF-USA is looking for suitable candidate, to fill the position of Wash Program Manager in Garbatulla District:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• To participate in the development of the WASH program in coordination with the WASH and base level Coordination Team
• To establish, implement, supervise and manage WASH activities in several divisions of Isiolo District
• To collaborate with the local authorities, ACF-USA counterparts and partner agencies in the area
• Reporting of activities and capitalize information
• Human Resources Management
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, environmental & bio-systems engineering or water related engineering field.
• Technical expertise in water, irrigation and civil works, especially related to rain water harvesting in arid context (e.g. earth dam, check dam, sand dam etc) in addition to experience in construction in rural community contexts
• WASH technical background is essential,
• Excellent analytical skills, communication (reporting) interpersonal and organizational skills.
• 2-5 years work experience with an international humanitarian agency in a similar capacity
• Management skills are essential (e.g. planning and follow up, HR, budgets, etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure and within strict time limits.
