A state corporation whose mission is to efficiently trade in quality products and services to ensure balance of supply and demand in the country’s distribution networks by promoting and growing wholesale and retail trade.

To achieve this, the corporation is seeking for qualified and competent individuals to fill the following vacant positions:

Sales and Marketing Manager
Ref no: HR/001

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate shall provide strategic direction and coordination of the sales, marketing and distribution activities to ensure achievement of the sales objectives in the corporation.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Set the sales objectives and execute in line with the strategic plan.
• Ensure implementation of sales targets, policies and recommend remedial measures
• Using market research advise on new market strategies
• Preparation and implementation of effective annual marketing plan
• Give timely sales reports to the management according to schedule
• Lead, coach and inspire the finance team to achieve corporation goals and objectives

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Sales and Marketing) or equivalent
• Computer literacy
• 5 years experience in sales in a FMCG at policy making level
• Strategic mindset with corporate focus
• Good negotiation and coordination skills
• Creativity, innovation and good analytical skills
• Age 30 – 35 years

Finance and Accounts Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate shall provide strategic leadership while ensuring accountability, efficiency and accuracy of the financial management systems.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Guide strategic planning and orientation of the corporation
• Lead, coach and inspire the finance team to achieve corporation goals and objectives
• Continually develop and oversee the implementation of the finance process and policies
• Generate, review and approve all finance departments’ reports accordingly
• Ensuring that management information is accurate, adequate and reliable for decision making
• Ensure tax compliance and timely statutory returns
• Source and implement an ERP system for the corporation

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Commerce/ Accounting or equivalent
• Certified Public Accountant ( CPA – K ) / ACCA
• Experience in managing an ERP installation/change will be an added advantage
• Sound working knowledge of suitable financial services computer packages
• Self motivated individual with good interpersonal skills/team player
• 5 years experience in Finance Management, three of which must be at senior management
• Strategic thinker with a sense of corporate result focus while maintaining controls
• Age 30 – 35 years

Internal Audit Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director and Board Audit Committee, the successful candidate shall provide strategic leadership in the management of the Corporation internal audit function to ensure compliance to set systems and policies.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Manage the operations of the audit department to ensure achievement of set objectives and goals
• Prepare and manage annual work plan and budget for audit department
• Review of established systems to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, statutory requirements and regulations
• Provide leadership in developing and monitoring risk management process
• Advise management on effective control systems.
• Ensure procedures of good corporate governance are adhered to while allowing for innovation and creativity

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Bachelor of Commerce/Finance/Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant ( CPA – K ) /ACCA
• Qualification in CISA or CIA will be an added advantage
• 5 years experience, three of which must be in Audit
• Strategic thinker with a sense of corporate result focus
• Good administrative and coordination skills
• Age 30 – 35 years

Depot Manager

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate shall provide effective management of the depot operations through responsive customer service, sales outreach and transaction accountability.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Manage depot operations and personnel while ensuring achievement of set goals and objectives
• Analyze stock performance and valuation while advising on stock reorder levels
• Build networks and appropriate channels for new markets and clients
• Undertake market surveys and advise management on market trends
• Compile, analyze and submit timely depot reports to the head office
• Establish customer requirements and provide information for decision making
• Manage credit control function for the depot

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Diploma in Business Administration/supply chain/warehousing
• Computer literacy
• 3 years experience in a busy warehouse with diverse products
• Good customer care and coordination skills
• Creativity, innovation and good analytical skills
• Age 25 – 35 years

Supply Chain Coordinator
(Supplies and Logistics )

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate shall monitor and coordinate the delivery, supply and transfer of goods to different depots based on the stock orders.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Receive orders from the depots, plan and organize deliveries
• Prepare LPO’s for trading items and products
• Ensure proper management of the delivery trucks and drivers
• Facilitate depot supplies and monitor performance reorder levels

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Diploma in Business Administration, Purchasing and supplies, Logistics or equivalent
• Computer literacy
• 3 years experience in logistics or fleet management in a busy set up with widely spread distribution locations
• Good negotiation and coordination skills
• Creativity and good analytical skills
• Age 27 – 35 years

ICT Administrator

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate shall oversee the implementation of ICT policy through proactive needs analysis, systems integration and efficient user support.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Drive the identification, procurement and installation of an ERP for the corporation
• Formulate, review and oversee implementation of the ICT strategy, policies and procedures
• Ensure that ICT user needs and system functionality are achieved
• Maintaining security back ups of hard ware and soft ware systems
• Research and facilitation of installation of new systems
• Ensure security of data from internal and external risks

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• CCNA, MCSE,LAN.WAN Certifications
• 5 years experience in information technology management
• Proactive, vibrant and responsible
• Good administrative and coordination skills
• Age 27 – 35 years

Office Secretary / Executive Assistant

Reporting to the Administration Officer, the successful candidate shall ensure effective secretarial and support services

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Attend and maintain daily records of incoming and out going calls
• Organize for management and board meetings, prepare documents and minutes
• Perform a variety of administrative and secretarial services which are sensitive and confidential
• Schedule appointments for the office incumbent
• Receive, sort and route mail and reports to respective offices

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Diploma in Secretarial studies from a reputable institution
• Proficiency in IT skills with thorough knowledge of various computer packages
• One years experience in a company set up
• Attention to detail with due diligence and integrity
• Responsible and self driven with good communication skills
• Age 25 – 35 years

Accounts Assistant / Cashier

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful candidate shall handle payments for sales within the depot and offer accountability in reporting to the head office.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Receive payment by cash, cheque, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits
• Calculate total payments and reconcile with total sales daily
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges
• Carry out payment of depot bills by cash, vouchers or cheques
• Daily banking of all collections

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• KATC Final / CPA I
• Computer literacy
• One year experience in a similar position
• Honest with self initiative
• Good analytical and customer service skills
• Age 23 – 30 years

Storekeeper
Ref no: HR/009

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful candidate shall manage the Corporations stores to ensure proper accountability for the use and issuance of all stock.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Receive and verify stock against delivery notes
• Issue stock against authorized purchase requisitions
• Carry out inventory audit periodically and manage reorder levels
• Reconcile issuance of stock and give reports
• Ensure that the store is properly arranged according to set procedures

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• Diploma in stores management/purchasing and supplies/warehousing
• Computer literacy
• 3 years experience in stores management
• Good administrative and coordination skills
• Good analytical and customer service skills
• Age 27 – 35 years

Maintenance Artisan
Ref no: HR/010

Reporting to the Administration Officer, the successful candidate shall ensure that general maintenance of the corporations’ assets and buildings is performed timely and efficiently as per the schedule or per request as need arises.

Key responsibilities and duties:
• Repair and maintenance of corporations assets and buildings to include furniture, windows, doors, floor , roof leakages or partition of offices
• Perform/ supervise all plumbing fittings
• Painting of the corporations buildings
• Supervising external contractors as per agreed specifications
• Ensure that all electrical items and fittings are in safe and serviceable condition.

Required Qualifications, Skills and attributes:
• K.C.S.E.
• Artisan grade III Certificate
• At least 2 years experience in a similar position
• A responsible self driven person with team building skills
