Scholarship Description: The Hauser Research Scholars Program is open to non-US junior academics from outside of the United States who wish to spend a full academic year at NYU School of Law working on a major piece of legal scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates who have already secured a position at a university. Candidates must be on “tenure track” at their home university.
All Hauser Research Scholars must complete a significant piece of original, publishable legal scholarship in English during their year in residence at NYU School of Law. Scholars must present an early draft at the Global Fellows Forum. Completed papers will be considered for publication as a Hauser Global Law School Work Paper.
All Hauser Research Scholars are required to be in residence at the Law School for the full academic year (fall and spring semesters). Recipients will be expected to fully participate in the intellectual life of the Law School. They must attend and participate in the Global Fellows Forum, schedule in regular intervals throughout the year, and are encouraged to participate in colloquia, seminars and other such events within their areas of interest. Appointment as a Hauser Research Scholar will be incompatible with any concurrent appointment or engagement (i.e. practice, fellowships, teaching, etc.) outside the Law School during the full academic year.
