Underground Mine Manager

Contract single status position in the mining sector in the Democratic Rep of the Congo.
• Salary up to $210,000 pa (tax free), depending on skills and experience plus bonus and travel allowance
• Six day working week
• Single status position.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• English speaker and French advantageous
• Mining Engineer with high level knowledge of Administration and Management of safety, costs; labor and UG operations.

• More than 15 years experience in UG Mine Operations.
• Leadership and enthusiastic for working in UG Mine environment as well as self motivated for achieving the goals defined by the Company. Team worker.
• UG Mining Engineer with high skills in UG operations for general supervision including development, pumping and hoisting systems; hydraulic and mechanical backfilling and ore/waste handling.
• Knowledge in management of sub contractors for UG operations;
• Skilled in SLC, Cut and Fill and Room and pillars mine methods;
• Supervision and control of underground mine activities.
• Leadership and ability to teach national staff.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Committed with safety standards and procedures implementation.
• Technical knowledge in different UG mining methods and general services for development and production in UG operations,
• Ability of developing and handling new Mine Projects
• Available fit for working in UG environment.
