Annual Parker Center Honours Scholarship Curtin University Australia

Scholarship Introduction: The utilization of many of Australia’s valuable mineral resources depends on our ability to efficiently and economically extract metals and metallic compounds such as alumina, gold, nickel, cobalt, copper and zinc using advanced hydro metallurgical processing methods. The Parker Center is actively involved at the forefront of exciting developments in improving these extraction processes, while minimizing their environmental impacts. The Parker Center invites outstanding science and engineering students to apply for research scholarships for Honours (4th year) degree.

Eligibility for scholarship:

• Students should have a background in (applied) chemistry, physics, extractive metallurgy, mineral science, engineering (chemical, process or metallurgical) or biotechnology.
• Students who are enrolled in a full-time Honours program at Curtin University of Technology.
• Have an academic course average of 75% and above.
• The research project being undertaken must involve significant hydro metallurgy research and preference will be given to projects related to the Core Capabilities of the Parker Center.
