The Better Business Bureau of Delaware Education Foundation announces its second annual Student Ethics Scholarship. This year, the organization has expanded the scholarship and will now award two $2,500 scholarships to students graduating in the Class of 2011.
Judges will select the scholarship recipients based on their overall leadership, contributions to the community and school, academic accomplishments and written essay.
In keeping with the BBB Education Foundation’s goals, the award was developed as a way to focus on ethics with young adults who are on the cusp of their careers, planning their post secondary education and focusing on future goals. Ethics and integrity will shape their professional and personal experiences throughout their lives, and the award is meant to encourage interested students to consider and articulate their commitment to high ethical behavior.
There is no cost to apply. The applicant must be nominated by a BBB Accredited Business. Applicant must be in the 2011 graduating class; and reside in the state of Delaware. This is not a financial need-based scholarship.
The deadline for completed application is Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011
The BBB is an organization of businesses that join together to support, develop and encourage an ethical marketplace. Through various types of presentations and the media it provides business and consumer education in continued efforts to educate the public about good business practices and protect them against frauds and scams.
