Our client, a leading stationary manufacturer with a household brand in exercise books is looking for a highly competent, qualified and motivated individual to fill in the following vacant position:
Job Title: Mechanical Technician - Printing Machine
Reports To: Production Manager
Duty Station: Nairobi
Job Purpose:
• Maintain and repair all mechanical and electrical operating equipment in the Printing Division and other office equipment of the Company;
• To control the repair & maintenance of printing machineries and other office machineries of the Company;
• To prepare lists of required spare parts for all office machinery and printing equipment.
• To prepare a monthly and weekly preventive maintenance programme for all machines in the Company.
• Constantly monitor the level of operation for all equipment and machinery;
• Install new machines/equipment;
• Keep records of servicing and repair works done on all equipment, spare parts consumption and inventory of parts, tools and equipment;
• Performs any other relevant duties assigned by Supervisors.
Measures of Performance
• Maintenance activity reports;
• Spare parts level reports on weekly basis;
• Repair of parts and modifications made.
Knowledge and Experience
• A minimum of Grade 1 or equivalent combined with a minimum of at least 4 years National Diploma course in a mechanical engineering and/or a relevant field
• At least five (5) years of relevant industrial job experience;
